Women’s Healing Quest, Dartmoor
May 29, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - June 7, 2018 @ 2:00 pm
- This event has passed.
Guides: Rebecca Card & Megan Williams
In the warmth of early summer we invite you to join a small circle of women to be held in the soft shelter of the Dartmoor landscape and to mark a moment in your life. You may wish this ceremony to mark a transition, or seek what is next in your life if you are feeling stuck, or you may simply wish to spend time on the land in silence and solitude to rest and dream and nourish your creative soul.
Traditionally, through this initiatory quest, we have the opportunity to reclaim our birthright, the soul-infused life, offering this as a gift to our people upon our return.
This is a 4 day fasting ceremony alone in wild nature, with little shelter and only water to drink. For some of us women, fasting may not be supportive or appropriate for our process. We will ensure that sensitivity and care are taken to welcome all of your physical and emotional needs, honoring the cycles of your lives as well as your bodies, whilst supporting you to meet your edge, for this is where the growth will happen.
Please note that an application process is necessary before making a booking and payment.
About Megan ~
With a background as a painter, homoepath and social worker and with huge love and awe of the wild, Megan brings a broad life experience to her work as a wilderness rites of passage guide. From her first quest in 1995 she fell in love with the ceremony and the wild land of the far southwest and immediately moved with her children to Devon. Since then she has quested in the US, Mexico and the UK. In 2007 she trained with the School of Lost Borders in California as a vision fast guide. She now delights in supporting people on their own healing quests, individually and in groups, seeking guidance and connection with solitude in silence and nature. She brings to this work her nurturing insight, deep listening and her commitment to be fully present. She has a private counselling practice in South Devon.
